This past week out of Port Canaveral has been exactly what spring fishing is all about—action-packed days, mixed conditions, and great catches across the board.
We’ve been putting clients on Mahi, Kingfish, and Blackfin Tuna, with fish coming over the rails on both the calmer days and the bumpier ones. It’s a good reminder that even when the ocean isn’t perfect, the bite can still be very much on.
Offshore Action – Mahi, Kings & Tuna
The offshore bite has been steadily improving as water temperatures continue to rise, and you can really see it in the fish activity.
- Mahi (Dolphin) are starting to show up consistently
- Kingfish are chewing and providing steady action
- Blackfin Tuna are in the mix for those early morning runs
We’ve been finding fish in a variety of conditions, proving that it’s not always about waiting for a “perfect” forecast—it’s about knowing where to go and when to make the move.

Shark Adventures & Port Tours
When offshore conditions weren’t ideal, we kept the rods bent with some great nearshore shark trips. These have been a huge hit—especially for families and groups looking for steady action and big pulls.
We also ran a few port tours, cruising through Port Canaveral and along the beach. Between the wildlife, cruise ships, and relaxing conditions, it’s been a great option for those wanting a laid-back day on the water.

What’s Coming Next?
With water temperatures climbing, things are only getting better from here.
We’re heading into prime time for:
- Mahi
- Kingfish
- Blackfin Tuna
- Cobia
- Sailfish
The spring bite is officially here, and the fish are feeding aggressively.
